As a continent (or two continents depending on your viewpoint) the Americas are one of the most recently discovered continents, being unknown to the outside world until its “discovery” by the Italian explorer Amerigo Vespucci at the end of the 15th century.

Home to the deep canyons of the USA’s wild west, the Amazon jungle of Brazil and the mighty Andes mountain range, the Americas are a travellers adventure playground. Discover the cities of the ancient Maya in Guatemala or the iconic Inca civilization in Peru, relax on a pristine beach or go shopping in the Big Apple- the choice is endless.

The Americas offer a plethora of experiences almost unequalled in terms of history, culture and sheer diversity. This most elongated of the continents stretches almost from pole to pole, it bridges the equator, both the tropics, as well as crossing the arctic circle. The Americas embrace all the climate zones, is home to magnificent wildlife and unique landscapes found nowhere else on the planet. From the wealth and power of the world’s great superpower the USA, through to the emerging economy of Brazil and some of the planets poorest countries, this continent offers something for everyone.
